Description
The tannins need food (preferably a lump of protein) to take away their edge
This too is one to buy and cellar
and Nicasia was the mother of Angelica
Moderate reduction renders the nose difficult to evaluate but there is good vibrancy and punch to the extract-rich flavors that are shaped by firm tannins and excellent length
but it is here in spades
Etienne Sauzet, Bourgogne Blanc Vintage:2018 The tannins need food (preferably(aged half in wood, half in steel with only ~10% of the portion in wood being new from Puligny vines). A very fresh and pretty nose combines notes of pear, apple and citrus where the latter element is also present on the racy, intense and lightly stony flavors that conclude in a bitter lemon inflected finish. This is a quality Bourgogne and worth checking out plus it will age.
